Sofia Coppola

I clearly remember when I saw the Godfather III ten years ago the first time. In addition to being fascinated by the film, I was very much impressed by Sofia. I know that her acting skills have been questioned and I too prefer her as a director but she made herself one of my rolemodels already then (maybe also because I wanted to have Italian roots and marry a mafioso that time, it just sounded so thrilling..)

I adore her impeccable style: the smooth hair, simple make-up (with sometimes red lips to add drama) and classic dresses & accessories.

La Belle et le Bad Boy

a

I'm sure not to be the only one who is fascinated by the bad boy "Chuck Bass" (Ed Westwick) in Gossip Girl. His relationship with Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is complicated, they can't live with or without each other. Oh Chuck is so hot I wish I was Blair (not just for him but also for many other reasons like her clothes, apartment, hair & beautystyle etc..) Ok it's just a story but there is something about these kind of guys that just tempts you eventhough you know they are totally a wrong choise for you..

Il Quadrilatero della Moda

The heart of fashion in Milan is focused in the zone of Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Corso Venezia and via Sant'Anrea. It includes the stores of several luxury brands and is ideal for (at least window-) shopping. Here are some intriguing photos from the area. How much I would like to buy a pair of shoes from Miu Miu, a bag from Dior and a dress from Versace..

Rachel Zoe

"There is never an excuse not to be glamourous" - Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe is one of the stylists that I adore. Her book "Style from A to Zoe" and tv-serie "The Rachel Zoe Project" can give you good examples of her suggestions for fashion and lifestyle. The book (which I can recommend warmly, I have read it already a couple of times) really inspires you to make your everyday more beautiful and stylish. There are no excuses for not living your life fabulously and it doesn't have to mean Hermès bags (which Zoe herself has many, I'm so envious..) or champagne and caviar everyday but special moments to make you feel good about yourself and make your life more luxurious with little things. You can find the joy and glamour for example with pair of beautiful high heels, red lipsick (I prefer the ones from Chanel and Lancôme), precious perfume and high quality classic pieces like little black dress, nice pair of jeans and cashmere sweater.

I don't like everything about her style; not the orange-shaded tan nor the overaccessorizing but I think Zoe has some very nice ideas. She knows how to make an impact. And without a doubt she is professional by dressing celebrities on the red carpets and personal life. Her customers that I like include Salma Hayek, Anne Hathaway and Nicole Richie (they parted for a while but Zoe was the one who helped Nicole to change from trashy to fashionista). Here some of Rachel Zoe's own looks.
